Reiki Provides Gentle Healing Energy to your Mind, Body & Spirit

Reiki is a Japanese word translating literally as “universal life force.” It is a specific type of relaxing energy work that provides a profound sense of well-being and calm. The practitioner provides this energy to the client through a series of hand placements on or above the client.

No particular belief or spiritual system is used, taught, or required, and all who are open to the basic concepts of humans as holistic mind-body-spirit beings, “mind over matter,” and/or the possibility of a universal energetic force (aka God, Buddha, the Source, the Universe...) are highly encouraged to experience this profound technique.

During a typical session, a client reclines on a comfortable massage table, fully-clothed. A quieting eye pillow is placed over the eyes, and sage may be burned - or “smudged” - in the room as part of an ancient cleansing ritual.

A Reiki session may be a stand alone session, or may be added onto a massage session. Reiki classes are also available - call for more information and future scheduling.
